Introduction
The American Institute
of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a nonprofit organization providing
leadership to the chemical engineering profession. Representing 57,000
members in industry, academia, and government, AIChE provides forums to
advance the theory and practice of the profession, upholds high professional
standards and ethics, and supports excellence in education. Institute members
range from undergraduate students, to entry-level engineers, to chief
executive officers of major corporations.
The Yale students chapter of
AIChE is made up of undergraduates majoring in Chemical Engineering. Our
goals are:
- Get more students interested and excited about the Chemical Engineering
discipline
- Mentor students to aid the development of their professional
and academic careers
- Help students learn more about the options that are open to
CENGs post-graduation.
- Organize more events; like trips to chemical plants,
roundtable discussions, and guest speakers to aid these goals |
